READ: Andrew Valls, “A Lousy Empirical Scientist: Reconsidering Hume’s Racism” (I attached it below)
1- Valls suggests that Hume’s racism is superficial and could be corrected if he were truer to his own deep commitments. What do you think?
2- Describe a moral case or situation that might be hard for a Humean – Possibly overcoming a racial or other prejudice. Interested to see what you all come up with!
